 How did it all begin?<\/span><\/h1>\n

Men\u00addoza fam\u00adi\u00adly win\u00adery: that\u2019s how you can sum\u00adma\u00adrize what \u00c1ngel Fur\u00adlot\u00adti built when he arrived alone from Italy in 1889. This is that sto\u00adry, which began long before any label exist\u00aded.<\/span><\/p>\n

The origin of a family winery in Mendoza<\/span><\/h2>\n

\u00c1ngel Fur\u00adlot\u00adti was born in <\/span>Fontanel\u00adla\u00adto, <\/span><\/a>Emil\u00adia \u2011Romagna, in 1868.<\/span>\""Portrait<\/p>\n

He grew up among vine\u00adyards and fields where the land was not just scenery. It was a craft, a her\u00aditage, a lan\u00adguage. He learned to read the soil before till\u00ading it, to under\u00adstand water, to respect the tim\u00ading of each plant.<\/span><\/p>\n

At the age of twen\u00adty he emi\u00adgrat\u00aded. In 1889 he arrived in Men\u00addoza, alone, with his trade in his hands and the will to start over.<\/span><\/p>\n

Men\u00addoza, at the end of the 19th cen\u00adtu\u00adry, was a desert, with relent\u00adless sun and harsh land. \u00c1ngel began as a con\u00adtrac\u00adtor, plant\u00adi\u00adng vine\u00adyards for oth\u00aders. He brought that knowl\u00adedge from his native Italy and put it to use in Men\u00addoza. He worked with pre\u00adci\u00adsion and per\u00adse\u00adver\u00adance.<\/span><\/p>\n

He did what he knew how to do: work well, with\u00adout haste, with\u00adout noise.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Year after year, he saved. He bought land. He plant\u00aded his own vines. He test\u00aded vari\u00adeties, adjust\u00aded the irri\u00adga\u00adtion, wait\u00aded. He was\u00adn\u2019t look\u00ading for quick rich\u00ades. He was look\u00ading for some\u00adthing sol\u00adid.<\/span><\/p>\n

The growth<\/span><\/h1>\n

At the begin\u00adning of the 20th cen\u00adtu\u00adry, \u00c1ngel was already rec\u00adog\u00adnized as one of the wine\u00adgrow\u00aders who best under\u00adstood the Men\u00addoza soil. In 1914, togeth\u00ader with his sons, he found\u00aded Fur\u00adlot\u00adti Her\u00admanos.<\/span><\/p>\n

For decades, the win\u00adery grew. Not through spec\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion, but through dai\u00adly work, delib\u00ader\u00adate deci\u00adsions, and a long-term vision. What an immi\u00adgrant brought in his memory\u2014the knowl\u00adedge of Emilia-Romagna\u2014now spoke the lan\u00adguage of Men\u00addoza.<\/span><\/p>\n

The silence<\/span><\/h2>\n

As hap\u00adpens in many long sto\u00adries, that cycle came to an end.<\/span><\/p>\n

Times changed, fam\u00adi\u00adly deci\u00adsions took place, and new paths were forged. The win\u00adery dis\u00adap\u00adpeared. For years, there was no Fur\u00adlot\u00adti wine. The name remained in the archives, on old labels, and in the mem\u00ado\u00adries of those who knew it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The return of a family winery<\/span><\/h2>\n

One hun\u00addred years after that first win\u00adery, the sto\u00adry began again.<\/span>\"Gabriela<\/p>\n

I\u2019m <\/span>Gabriela Fur\u00adlot\u00adti, <\/span><\/a>fourth gen\u00ader\u00ada\u00adtion. I did\u00adn\u2019t inher\u00adit a run\u00adning com\u00adpa\u00adny. I inher\u00adit\u00aded a last name, a file, a ques\u00adtion: what to do with all this?<\/span><\/p>\n

The answer was to return to the ori\u00adgin. Not to size or scale. To the spir\u00adit.<\/span><\/p>\n

Small vine\u00adyards, direct work, respect for the land, hon\u00adest wines. This is how <\/span>Fin\u00adca Adal\u00adgisa and<\/span><\/a> the wines of <\/span>Famil\u00adia<\/span><\/a> Fur\u00adlot\u00adti were born, in dif\u00adfer\u00adent areas of Men\u00addoza.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not as a repli\u00adca of the past. As a liv\u00ading con\u00adti\u00adnu\u00adity.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Famil\u00adia Fur\u00adlot\u00adti is today a fam\u00adi\u00adly-run win\u00adery in Men\u00addoza that isn\u2019t seek\u00ading scale. It\u2019s seek\u00ading con\u00adti\u00adnu\u00adity.<\/span><\/p>\n

We don\u2019t make wine to prove any\u00adthing. We make wine to hon\u00ador a long his\u00adto\u00adry, with\u00adout solem\u00adni\u00adty.<\/span><\/p>\n

Because this isn\u2019t just the sto\u00adry of a win\u00adery. It\u2019s the sto\u00adry of a man who arrived with knowl\u00adedge and the will to use it. Who worked for decades with\u00adout guar\u00adan\u00adtees. Who built some\u00adthing that last\u00aded. That dis\u00adap\u00adpeared. And that returned.<\/span><\/p>\n
